June – Mid July: King Salmon The season kicks off with a bang when King Salmon fishing opens June 1st. Kings are our largest salmon and put up a serious battle on the rod. Some of the best eating fish you'll ever have — be ready for hard fought battles with these amazing fish.
July – End of August: Pink & Chum Salmon Pink and chum salmon bite often and put up a great fight for constant action on the boat. Perfect for groups who want non-stop excitement on the water.
August – End of September: Coho Salmon Coho will keep you on your toes. They fight hard, run in large schools, and often set off multiple rods at the same time. These fish rage from the moment they bite until they're in the net — serious excitement from start to finish. Great eating and guaranteed to keep your day busy.
Getting Your Catch Home
Once your fishing day wraps up, we'll drop your catch off at Alaska Dock to Door Processing — Juneau's premier fish processing service. Simply fill out a worksheet with your name, payment information, and that day's catch. They offer full filleting, vacuum sealing, and flash freezing with shipping directly to your doorstep — your fish arrives home in perfect condition, ready for the table. Fishing Licenses
All guests must have a valid Alaska non-resident fishing license. If you plan to fish for King Salmon, every angler must also have a valid King Salmon stamp. Both can be purchased directly through the Alaska Department of Fish and Game:
