Juneau Whale & Rod Charters, LLC is a premier, locally owned charter fishing and whale watching company based in Juneau, Alaska. From Auke Bay Harbor, we offer private, personalized excursions through Southeast Alaska’s Inside Passage, blending world-class salmon fishing with awe-inspiring whale watching and wildlife tours in a family-friendly, sustainable way.
Bryce Saviers – Co-Founder
A fourth-generation Alaskan, Bryce has spent his life exploring the state's vast wilderness through hunting, fishing, and scouting remote areas few ever reach. This lifelong immersion has given him an unmatched understanding of Alaska's marine ecosystems, seasonal wildlife patterns, and the most productive fishing locations.
Now focused on the operational backbone of our charter business, Bryce oversees logistics, handles guest transportation to and from the boat, and serves as the primary point of contact in Juneau. His hands-on approach ensures seamless trips from arrival to departure, while his commitment to safety, sustainable practices, and personalized service delivers exceptional, memorable experiences for every guest. Bryce's genuine enthusiasm for the outdoors shines through in every detail, helping create outings that go beyond just catching fish and whale watching.
Pat Bendon – Co-Founder
Pat brings over a decade of experience building relationships at the highest levels of institutional finance — working alongside private equity firms, venture capital funds, family offices, and investment banks across North America and beyond. That same passion for connecting people with extraordinary experiences is what drives Juneau Whale & Rod Charters.
A lifelong outdoorsman with a deep love for Alaska's wilderness, Pat has spent years fishing the Inside Passage, hunting the alpine, and exploring the remote corners of Southeast Alaska that most people never see. He co-founded Juneau Whale & Rod Charters with Bryce Saviers to share that world with people who want to experience the true final frontier.
